I offer CAT, CBT integrative as well as longer term counselling for a broad range of problems such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, eating disorders, addiction and bereavement counselling.

With twenty years' of experience in the National Health Service and twelve years in private psychotherapy, I specialise in the treatment of performing artists, professionals in law, sports, science, finance, healthcare and high stress media occupations and in the treatment of young people from the age of 16 years.

I have successfully helped women in recovery from surgery and cancer adolescents who self –harm, parents, people preparing for retirement and those in later life to prepare for their final years and, to enjoy life.

The World Health Organisation state that "Adolescence (10–19 years) is a unique and formative time. Whilst most adolescents have good mental health, multiple physical, emotional and social changes, including exposure to poverty, abuse, or violence, can make adolescents vulnerable to mental health problems".

Healthcare Professionals: I have implemented a Randomised Controlled Trial in a national high secure hospital and completed award winning doctoral research. Having published two clinical books and numerous chapters and papers I can provide both clinical and research supervision and supportive mentoring for music therapists and psychologists.

Initially I trained as a professional musician at the Royal Academy of Music and subsequently working professionally as an orchestral musician, teacher, soloist and session musician.

I provide individually tailored specialist treatments for Performing and Media Artists and for those struggling with relationship difficulties. Cognitive Analytic therapy can help you to recognize and overcome ways of responding that no longer work and to build effective relationship skills that can often lead to new opportunities.
